There are many ways to cut costs around the home, and one can easily be found in right in your medicine cabinet. Instead of going to the store and buying facial cleansers or masks, save the money and make it instead. Simply take a visit to your kitchen pantry and you have all you need to look your best.

For dry itchy skin try an oatmeal mask: Mix together 1/2 c. oatmeal with enough honey to create a paste like consistency. Spread evenly over your face avoiding eyes. Leave on for about 20 minutes or until it dries. Rinse off with warm water.

Blackheads & whiteheads clogging your pores, then use an egg white mask: Beat egg white lightly and spread over face; avoiding eye area. Allow egg white to dry then repeat with another layer of slightly beaten egg white over the dried egg. Let sit for 30 minutes then rinse face with warm water.

For oily skin, try using a yogurt cleanser: Mix 1/4 c. yogurt with 1/2 tsp. salt. Cleanse face as normal.

Need a quick & easy astringent: Peel & slice a small cucumber. Place slices in a small mixture of water and lemon juice. Let slices soak for a few minutes then wipe on your face.

For a pick me up during the day: Brew a strong batch of mint tea. Allow to cool completely, then strain. Place into a misting type spray bottle. Mist face for a quick refresher.

If you have oily skin: Brew some parsley tea and allow to cool completely then strain. Dip cotton ball into tea and dab onto face as needed.
