I started a batch of ribs last night for today's dinner and let me say....while this definitely has a more shallow crock insert (as it is a casserole style) I found it to cook as well as my traditional oval & round appliances. I do foresee many a crockpot casseroles in our future. This is going to make Summer time cooking that much nicer. No more hot oven heating up the kitchen; which results in less air condition use to try and cool the room off.
If you notice my crockpot looks more grey than black. This is actually their black version, so if you are wanting to get this one to match your all black kitchen, you might be a little disappointed in color. However, you won't be disappointed in the cooking!
