Antiquing:: A Mother - Daughter Day

This afternoon my Mother & I stopped off at a quaint new antique shop. The owner was there and boy was she so full of good information and just about the friendliest little lady you will ever meet. I just love looking at all of the vintage nostalgia that antique stores offer. Come and take a look at some of the great things we saw in this little shop....she has everything from salt & pepper shakers, books, glassware to furniture. We had such fun just browsing around.

Nothing says home to me more than a rocking chair.
This was my favorite piece in the whole store. Isn't it
just lovely!

Isn't this a beautiful set?

Who would have thought you could turn an old
motorcycle gas tank into this???

I love these type of drop down desks.

Can you imagine drying your hair with this big thing?

I felt like I was in the wild west looking at this piece.

This was such a beautiful hat box & it was in mint condition.

Antique linens & lace....I just love it.

Of course after all that window shopping we worked up an appetite so we stopped for Mexican food. What a wonderful day we had.

Oh wow, this is so my kind of place. I love going to estate sales and antique places although there aren't that many around here (NJ) well the area I live.

I mean, there are estate sales but they want retail and the antique places charge a fortune! I wish I could find a great place that didnt charge an arm and a leg for everything !
