Fresh Is Best

Went to the dairy farm today...picked up 3 gallons of fresh raw milk and 3 dozen fresh yard eggs....I just love how they put the name of the cow on each bottle so you know which one it came from. Farm fresh!! Nothing better.

We absoulutely LOVE fresh raw milk. I used to drive to 2.5 hours one-way to purchase it. I'd love to know if your farm is closer. Would it be possible to e-mail me with the name and location of the farm? ... we'd LOVE to begin purchasing fresh milk again.

Thanks,
trudy

Farm fresh eggs and milk, how wonderful for you. Do you make your own butter with your milk?

Oh, I'm right there w/you & couldn't agree more! I get my milk & brown eggs from an Old Order German Baptist (they like Amish) farm in our area. They don't tell you which cow the milk came from though! lol That's great!

I raise my own chickens for eggs but I buy raw milk from a nearby dairy farm. Over the hill! I had to give a notice that if I or anyone drinking the milk became sick , we would not hold the farmer, his farm, or his cows liable! People were drinking raw milk for a long time before the government got involved! I go during milking time and watch the milk can get dumped into the filter and through the hose into the bulk tank where it gets chilled quickly and then poured into my jugs.
I use a sun tea pitcher with the wide mouth on top and spout on the bottom. I skim the cream from the top and let the kids make butter.
