Thanks Sandra for hosting this meme)

The weather in my neck of the woods:
Grey skies and rain...once again

One of my simple pleasures:
Quiet time alone to meditate and listen for the prompting of the LORD

On my bedside table:
Gooseberry Patch's "Dinner's on a Dime" cookbook, Passionate
Housewives Desperate For God
, Created To Be His Helpmeet

On my TV:
Nothing at the moment, and I like it that way

On the menu for tonight:
A recreation using yesterday's left over pork roast and gravy

On my To Do List:
Clean litter box, vacuum, straighten house, finish clipping &
organizing coupons, write out market list

New Recipe I tried last week:
Cake Mix Brownies

In the craft basket:
Lots of fabric...the options are many

Looking forward to:
The promises of GOD being fulfilled in our family's life
(not just in our life but for all our family.)

"This is the year of Recompense and Restitution. God will restore and repay you for what you've gone through and what you have sown into the Kingdom of God. Joel 2:23-27 God will restore to you THE YEARS that have been lost or destroyed. Rejoice! don't give up, cave in, or quit." ~ A Word from GOD spoken through minister M. Lingerfelt

Joel 2:23-27 "Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil. And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed."

Homemaking Tip for this week:Align CenterShop at home first. You never know what you might find
that will fit your need therefore, reducing the extra expense
of buying. This holds true for your market shopping,
gift buying or even redecorating within your home.

Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other):
There were so many great ones, I can't decide on just one

Favorite photo from last week:

Fresh yard eggs and farm fresh milk. I love how you even
know the name of the cow your milk came from.

Lesson learned the past few days:
That GOD does hear us when we pray (even when we don't
feel like we have the right to talk to HIM)
...it's up to us to be
willing to listen and receive what HE has to say.

Some people have been broken for so long now that they don't even know they're broken and in dire need of repair. Their actions/words can be the most devastating and vile but until they realize they need help, they see no wrong in anything they do...it's "normal" to them. But....BUT GOD can release you from the past and the chains that have kept you in that state. It's up to us to allow HIM to do HIS work in and through us. HE has already defeated Satan over 2000 years ago, so we are no longer subject to living under bondage. Don't let the chains of bondage keep you held back and held down any longer. Rise up and declare your victory now!!

On my Prayer List:
Family, marriages, friends, for those who are battling cancer,
for a closer - more intimate walk with the LORD for all of us
including myself, for restoration and provision, for
the teenagers, patience and perseverance to press on &
press in to the things of GOD

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
Ephesians 4:27 "Neither give place to the devil."

(look a this scripture from the Greek words
{forgive me if there are mispellings} they are derived from...

*give :: ditomi = to surrender, allow, yield, grant, bestow

*place :: topos = ground, geography, land ~ in our lives this means
our marriage, money, health, words, thoughts, business, etc.

*devil :: diabolos = "dia" ~ to go through --
"bolos" ~ ball, to strike over and over until you puncture

"Do not surrender, allow, grant, yield, bestow any of our marriage,
money, health, words, thoughts or business to be continually
striked at over and over until it is punctured and gone through."
~exhortation from Pastor W. Hallam
