Happy Homemaker Monday 5-18-09

(Hosted by Sandra)

On my bedside table:
cell phone, blue tooth, alarm clock,
eyeglass case

On my TV:
Iron Chef America
(I'm doing this on Sunday night so
I can have it out on time come Monday)

On the menu for tonight:
Crockpot chicken

On my To Do List:
jury summons so that's
pretty much my day for now

New Recipe I tried last week:
Beefy Nacho Potato Soup

In the craft basket:
still no time to work on
anything

Looking forward to:
Memorial weekend

Homemaking Tip for this week:
Making due with what you have
instead of buying unnecessary items
saves space, time and most of all money

Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other):
"Do you love what you have?" by Lady M's
Lavender Cottage

Favorite photo from last week:
Hubby did a great job at capturing this
beautiful little creature

Lesson learned the past few days:
when GOD tells you something,
don't question it ~ HE knows better
than we do

On my Prayer List:
Hubby, our marriage, our Church, our neighbor,
our Church & Pastors, our President, our County, our
children and our grandchildren (we know GOD will give us
children so I am believing and praying in advance for
our family,)

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
Hebrews 6:10 "For GOD is not unrighteous to forget
your work and labour of love, which ye have
shewed toward HIS name, in that ye have
ministered to the saints, and do minister."

Hi! Just getting caught up on your posts and wow! You are a great grocery shopper and bargain hunter. I like what said about praying before shopping -

Hope you have a great week!

I try to make it a habit to pray before and while shopping as well. It's a small way that causes me to be aware of His presence and guidance. He is always faithful to answer those prayers, too.

Great post!

...really that recipe is so easy (if I could do it then anyone can ...grin...) the only thing I would say is just as with any yeast item, you don't want to over knead the dough or it will make the rolls tough.

I really liked these with the dehydrated onions on them. It was so tasty!

Since you will be shaping these by hand, you can make them as large or small as you like.

Make sure to not allow them to cool completely on the baking sheet as the bottoms of the buns will get soggy/mushy.

I can't think of anything other than that. Let me know what you think of them once you try it.
