(Hosted by Sandra)
On my bedside table:
my Bible, alarm clock, eyeglass case
& the book "Breaking the Jewish Code"
On my TV:
nothing
On the menu for tonight:
Beefy Nacho Potato Soup
On my To Do List:
wash the bed linens, tidy the house,
wipe out thee inside of the icebox,
take care of a few important phone calls,
New Recipe I tried last week:
Tina's Fudge Puddles
In the craft basket:
it's gathering dust until I get time
for it
Looking forward to:
painting the house, being with family
that we haven't seen in several years
Homemaking Tip for this week:
if you will make the effort to do at least one
thing around your home on a daily basis,
you can have a home that is always ready to
receive that unexpected guest
Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other):
"Mind Your Own Business" by Carrie at
Farming on Faith
Favorite photo from last week:
Just knowing that I can go out our back door
and have a bounty of fresh herbs & veggies to
put on our table excites me so
Lesson learned the past few days:
maturity has more to do with what types of experiences
you've had & what you've learned from them &
less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated
Hubby, our marriage, our Church, our neighbor,
our Church & Pastors, our President, our County, our
children and our grandchildren (we know GOD will give us
children so I am believing and praying in advance for
our family,)

Matthew 11:28-30 "Come unto ME, all ye that labour
and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take MY yoke upon you, and learn of ME;

and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light."

Oh how sweet to hear someone else say icebox...it's music to my old ears, My DIL from Maine corrects me every time I say icebox...she says "it is not called an icebox, but a refregirator,I've never heard of an icebox" she even has my GD telling me the say thing.
I'm also having pork chops for supper.
Have a great week

Hubby sometimes reminds me of the actual definition of an icebox but you know what!?! I don't care...refrigerator or icebox; call it what you will...it will always be an icebox to me. *grin*
Loved your post today as well as your thrown together yet absolutely looks so scrumptious fresh salad from the other day. Sounds like you and hubby love to work together in the kitchen. Gotta love that!
Have a great day!
I enjoyed reading your Happy Homemaker post.

your garden fresh veggies are wonderful!
have a great day!
Amen to your lessons learned; that is so true. Your fudge puddles look divine and I'm looking forward to browsing through your blog more thoroughly later.
Glad to have found you!
I can not wait until we get fresh items from our garden! Great post. Have a great week.
I loved your list. I think it must be wonderful to get food for the table right outside your door too.
Happy Homemaker Monday

Loved the post and I love the salad, nothing like fresh veggies from your own garden :)

Happy Monday!

No I wish I could take credit for it but it was from Stitch in Time. There is a link beneath the photo if you'd like to check out her goodies! She has some lovely things on there.
That recipe sounds yummy.
