Good Saturday Morning

It's August 1st and Saturday. The year and week have just gone in a hurry haven't they!?! Outside my kitchen window are some beautiful gray clouds. I certainly hope this means rain is coming today. We are so far behind in our rainfall, and things are suffering terribly because of it. So JESUS bring the rain.

Everyone is still asleep, including a few of our animals, so the house is nice and quiet. What better way to spend my alone time than meditating on the LORD and preparing for our breakfast. My Dad and I went to a local egg farm and bought a dozen and a half each of fresh yard eggs. So I am looking forward to tasting one of those beauties. I just love fresh grown/laid foods. There's nothing better than stepping out your own door to harvest your dinner ingredients. Even though they aren't from our yard, fresh eggs straight from the chicken. This is the good life!

So here is a picture of two of my favorite things....fresh yard eggs and one of my aprons. A Home Keeper can can never have too many aprons in my books.

Have a glorious Saturday! Enjoy every moment of your weekend; they go by much too quickly so savor every moment together with your loved ones.

I so agree! I just love aprons. Walmart has the cutest Gingerbread cut and sew out for Christmas. The bolt was already empty so I am going back. It has a cut ruffle on the bottom.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Ooohh farm fresh eggs and aprons--yep--two of my faves too! I just wish we could get farm fresh eggs around here like we used to.

I agree with you--it's lovely to be able to harvest our own food. We did that yesterday with tomatoes and chilies--it was glorious!
