Happy Homemaker Monday 7-27-09

(For more Happy Homemaker's click on image above
Thanks Sandra for hosting this meme)

The weather in my neck of the woods:
What can I say...we're in the South so it's sunny & hot. During the Summer months it's starts getting hot before 6am. Whew! Thank You LORD for a/c.

One of my simple pleasures:
Just walking around our property soaking in the fact that none of this would have been possible with out the LORD.

On my bedside table:
Sandra Lee's new magazine

On my TV:
Nothing on the family t.v. but the sounds from the PS3 coming
from the teen's room are louder than they should be

On the menu for tonight:
Cornish hens with a satsuma marinade

On my To Do List:
Canning sweet pepper relish, vacuuming the house,
a little bit of organization

New Recipe I tried last week:
Nothing really

In the craft basket:
fabric that I need to cut canning jar toppers out of
to get ready for gift giving presentation

Looking forward to:
the mail ~ my free Gooseberry patch book should
be here any day now

Homemaking Tip for this week:
Organize the pantry and keep an updated, running list
of items in there ~ this makes for an easier time
when preparing your market list for shopping

Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other):
Mary & Martha @ Keeping It Simple

Favorite photo from last week:
I haven't downloaded all my pictures so I don't have
one to share yet

Lesson learned the past few days:
No matter what things look like on paper, GOD is always in
control

On my Prayer List:
My Hubby, our family, our Church & Church family, the government &
our local officials, for a closer relationship with my LORD,
for our children & our grandchildren

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
Nehemiah 8:10b "...for this day is holy unto our LORD:
neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength."

We are just starting to get a lot from the garden. I'm planning on making some zuchini pickles and relish. Nice way to use up zuchini. Have a wonderful day.
