The LORD'S Love Demonstrated

Good Monday evening everyone! I trust your day has been a great one. Today was a very busy day to say the least. My Dad went in for surgery this morning. The procedure went well and he is resting comfortably. We are believing the LORD in advance for a good report. We're not sure how long it will take for the pathology report to come in, however we are not going to worry about the results. In JESUS name, my Dad is already healed and made whole.
Isaiah 53:5 "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."
On another note; the weekend presented itself with a few nice surprises. My Mother stopped in for a visit with us Saturday morning. Mom hasn't seen our garden since we put it in, so she was pleasantly surprised by it. Of course, no visit is complete without taking time to harvest some goodies to take back. We had a great time just talking and picking the fresh bounty from the land. The past year has presented my Mother with several life altering challenges, so it was nice to see her smiling as she picked peas, bell peppers, jalapenos, tomatoes and other goodies to take back home with her. It was as if the garden brought her a renewed sense of peace, even if only for a brief time.

I remember going to my Aunt's house up the country from the time of my youth until present. One thing I always remembered about her was how giving she was. She would give of her time, her talents, herself and of their hard work in the gardens. Yes, gardens. They live on 30+ acres, so it is nothing for them to have multiple garden areas. Not that this was the reason for us to visit with them, but we knew no matter what growing season it was, Aunt Mary would always send us home with something fresh from the garden or wonderfully preserved & canned. (I guess this is where I get my love of canning & preserving from.) I always thought it was the neatest thing that they were able & willing to do this, not only for us but for any family, friend or even stranger that came along their path. Years later, here I am with our own family garden that we are so blessed to be able to eat from, preserve and give from. When I look in our pantry at our canned & preserved jellies, jams, pickles and other treats, it's such a rush to know that in a similar fashion I am able to carry on Aunt Mary's legacy of giving from our bounty & harvest. What a blessing it is to be able to share with my Mom as well as others.

I did say that the weekend presented a few surprises, didn't I? In my last post, I mentioned that I was having trouble with my laptop. Well, no sooner than I had put the whole issue out of my mind for a bit, something awesome happened. Now this is totally a GOD thing, so prepare yourself...I was given a BRAND NEW laptop this weekend! You read it right...given a brand new laptop. I am still in awe and surprise when I think about it. I still want to get the other one repaired or at least looked at to see if it can be repaired at a reasonable cost, but now I can take my time getting it addressed. Is this cool or what!?! Now please don't think I am being a braggart, this is totally a blessing from the LORD. I give HIM all glory & praise for it.

Matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

Luke 6:38 "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."

Matthew 7:7-11 "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?"

To top that off, I was gifted with 5 cases of new canning jars and 3 boxes of canning seals. Knowing how much I love to can and was getting low on them, the LORD just continued to bless us. I don't care what anyone says, when you put GOD first in everything you do, HE always takes care of HIS children. We serve such a good GOD. If You never did one more thing for my family or I, I would still love You for Who You are LORD. You are everything I need You be. You are the great I AM!

Have a blessed remainder of the evening! Praying for you always.

Thank YOU for visiting with me, sugar! I understand about computers being down because my desktop contains my WHOLE LIFE on it. But like you I was blessed with a brand new $,3000.00 computer recently because of a problem with my Mac. That's what happens when I'm a full tithe payer, chick! I was astounded. I lead a charmed and blessed life and it's just amazing to me.

Also, I am the keeper of my home, trying to keep Love Bunny on the straight and narrow....as IF I don't need it also?!?! Hah.

Your laundry room can be beautiful, ya know. Just look at it with a different eye and go to work.

xoxo,
Connie

WOW.... amazing how God works, right? God knows our needs and wants. I do believe that you have a great little ministry right there from you little computer, and God knows how many lives you have touch by being a great keeper of the home and sharing it with all of us, you have an awesome testimony. You would not be able to continue that without the laptop so the Lord provided. Praise The Lord!!

Coming from the Stroupe home!!

Connie ~ Thank you so much for stopping by. That is fantastic about your computer. You are completely right...when you tithe and offer, GOD will always take care of His children. Personally, I can't afford not to tithe. You just can't out give GOD.

As for the laundry room...you are right..it just takes that different eye in design, but so far I haven't found that eye of talent yet. *grin*
