They're Here!

Remember I told you about the Flamingo Flocking? Well, they're here! Yes, last night we were officially "flocked" with 22 of these pink birds.

Ok, I'll spill it...we knew they were coming. In fact, several in the Church knew they were coming to our home last night, so an all out youth attack was launched. When they arrived to begin "flocking" hubby, son and some other church friends were ready and waiting. They were armed with water hoses, water bombs, yard sprinklers. You name it, they were ready. To see them scheming and planning out the "battle field" was so hilarious.

As we spied the youth coming up the road armed with the pink birds, they waited and then just as they began placing the birds, CHARGE! *grin* I don't think anyone managed to escape without being hit with water from one source or another. Everyone had a great time. You know, it was so refreshing to see good, godly fun being displayed. And best of all, it was all for the benefit of the youth and this summer's youth conference. To see these kids having a great time earning money to spend time with the LORD just warms my heart. For that alone, I'd do it all over again. Ok, that and to see them get soaked again! *smile*

So cute, last year my middle boy turned 40. While he slept, a flock of pink birds covered their yard....lol...you should have seen his face when he left for work at 6:30 that morning...40 pink birds and a huge sign saying Happy 40th Birthday Old Man....their yard is very small...birds were every where.
Thanks for sharing.
Happy Memorial Day
