Fresh Picked From The Garden

This afternoon in the garden, I harvested enough mixed lettuce for a nice size salad. Doesn't this look yummy!

Then later Hubby went out and harvested some basil. Although we have been eating some of it almost daily, the plants were still loaded. From the look of things, I would say a fresh batch of pesto is on the menu.

Looks yummy. I'm afraid to plant lettuce yet. I'm such a novice gardener still. I only recently found your blog and I love it. I am planning to make a few of your homemade recipes.

Oh that looks so yummy! We had a major rain store here the other day and it killed my lettuce! They were just getting going and only a few inches long but sadly none of them could survive the pelting they got from the rain. Glad to see your garden is thriving and growing so much...pesto does sound yummy. I might have to make that for lunch now! lol
