Garden Planning Phase 6

Since we began planting our garden back in early March, things have changed quite a bit in growth. Here's a photo update of how things are looking....

This view is of the basil, cilantro, tomatoes...

More basil, tomatoes, peas and lettuce behind the tomatoes & corn in the back...

Bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, zucchini & strawberries. In the pots are my dill...

Cucumbers, corn, squash...

Green and red leaf lettuce, squash, onions, peas, tomatoes, oregano...

Squash, zucchini, onion, cucumbers, strawberries, dill pots...

A pretty tomato on one of our bushes. At last count Hubby said he found 21 tomatoes growing so far...

One of jalapeno plants...

A pretty bell pepper...

Man, I am so jealous to see all your plants growing and producing already! I hope to get some in next week if it warms up enough! How do you keep your garden weed free? Do you something like Preen? Or just work really hard at hoeing and pulling? We would like to go pesticide free, but it's hard to keep up!

I like how you put your blog roll on another blog, that is really nice.

Your garden is just lovely. I don't even have leaves on my trees yet but I did notice the grass is getting green, finally.

Oh trust me the garden is far from weed free! *grin* Other than hand picking them each day as best we can that's about all we do on weed control. Well, walking up and down each isle a couple times a day helps keep the ground hard so the weeds don't pop through. But some still find a way.

I'm glad you like the separate blog roll page. If I had them all on my main page it would take up so much room.

Looks wonderful! You got your tomatoes in a little earlier than I. We have blooms but are still waiting for fruit. However, we do have tiny bell peppers and I've already harvested some spinach and lettuce.

Your garden looks just beautiful! Thank you for sharing the photos of it. :)

Everything is looking so good . . . and your soil looks marvelous. :) It will not be long before you'll be enjoying fresh veggies!

Your garden looks beautiful!!! I grew up in Illinois with rich and dark soil...I now live in Colorado and our soil is hard and clay. You garden reminds me of my dad's ...he always has a huge garden and my children love visiting the farm and getting snacks right out of it.

What a beautiful garden! Oh, how I wish I lived closer so I could pitch in on "canning day". Some of my best memories are canning and freezing with friends and family! There's usually lots of story telling and truth stretching, but the end result is such a thing of beauty!
What a green thumb you have!
PS: Is there anything you CAN'T do?? :D

a lovely garden - I love it!
I planted tomato plants yesterday - and I felt pretty good about that LOL granted I don't have a nice, flat area like you do to till. I bum veggies off the people I know who grow extra ;)
