Happy Homemaker Monday 3-9-09

(Hosted by Sandra)

On my bedside table:
the alarm clock, one of my favorite photos
& a hair clip

On my TV:
dust...yes, I admit I need to clean it

On the menu for tonight:
not sure yet

On my To Do List:
water the garden, run some errands,
go to the post office

New Recipe I tried last week:
Enchilada Casserole from Taste of Home
Mexajita Chicken from Sandra Lee

In the craft basket:
nothing

Looking forward to:
a harvest of fresh vegetables & fruits

Homemaking Tip for this week:
if you have a septic system, once a month flush Ridex
down the toilet before going to bed or if you
don't have this on hand, flush some yogurt into the
septic system to prevent buildup

Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other):
this post was actually from the week before but it still
stands out to me...A Wife Clothed In Spiritual Beauty
by A Wise Woman Builds Her Home

Favorite photo from last week:

Lesson learned the past few days:
regardless of your good intentions or concern
you can't help someone if they are not willing to
help them self.

On my Prayer List:
my husband& our marriage, our garden, our Church,
our Pastor's family to name a few

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
Isaiah 54:17 "No weapon that is formed against thee
shall
prosper; and every tongue that shall rise
against thee
in judgment thou shalt condemn.
This is the heritage
of the servants of the
LORD, and their righteousness

is of me, saith the LORD."

Great bible verse and I like your lesson learned. So true, so true.

Boy that is such a tough lesson to learn isn't it? You want so badly to help someone and reach out and they're just not willing and ready, it makes it so tough to let go.

Enjoyed all of your posts today! Your lesson learned is a good one too. If everyone in our country felt that way, we would not need a "Stimulus Package".
